One Day, All Trade Unions Will Follow In The Footsteps Of Hazards Campaign

If The Hazards Campaign were a political party or a Trade Union, all working people would vote for them and join them.

That may be a bit far-fetched, but the fact is that the Hazards Campaign lead well ahead of all others within the Trade Union movement with regard to promoting, protecting and lobbying for the improvement of work places health, safety and welfare. Indeed it does not stop there, and campaigns too for environmental protection.

The organisation evolves and annually reviews its aims and goals, and involves Union Safety Reps in their formulation, as Janet Newsham from Manchester Greater Hazards Campaign reports:

Over the last 12 months the Hazards Campaign have been discussing their priorities and demands. These fall into 9 main themes and I will be posting them individually, over the next few days. The first organising demand is that the existing role and statutory functions of Trade Union Safety reps are fully enforced and extended. The Hazards Campaign invites safety reps and activists to discuss these demands and if you have any comments or questions please contact me via email
